Conwy Castle is a famous medieval fortress located in the town of Conwy, North Wales. Built by Edward I between 1283 and 1287 as part of his conquest of Wales, it is considered one of the finest examples of military architecture from the late 13th century. The castle is renowned for its massive defensive walls, eight large towers, and dramatic setting overlooking the River Conwy. Along with the town walls, Conwy Castle forms part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the "Castles and Town Walls of King Edward in Gwynedd."
