The tramway offers beautiful views over Llandudno, the Irish Sea, and Snowdonia. It is a unique experience, as it is one of the few remaining cable-hauled street tramways in the world. It was opened in 1902. It clims a mile through the Great Orme Country Park and Nature Reserve to the Great Orme's spectacular summit. The journey begins at Victoria Station, which is a short distance from Llandudno's seaside and pier, and runs to the lower station in Llandudno.
